the wedding procession
...i'm back. there's not much else to it. i hate repeating myself... about being overwelmed and all, so...
it crossed my mind tonight for the first time, seriously, that i should just give up on going back to school. quit my class that i have now and find some small town somewhere where it's cold (maybe iceland) and keep things simple. no, tv or computer. just books and music. some simple job, not much different from what i had during the school year. escape.
expanded idealism. but isn't that how we all live? what's in college except the hope to better our living conditions? no one goes to learn anymore. not even me. it's just too much to ask, to live and learn.
i did finish a couple good books over the week though if you want to peak into some of my counter thoughts.
check out:
dogrun, by arthur nersesian
and
the perks of being a wallflower, by stephen chbosky
aparently one of the sites/blogs that you can link to on your right, mentioned the latter. somehow i missed it though, and it was recommended by a friend who took interest. whom ever you are, i must say, well done.
counter sounds include, but are certainly not limited to: yo la tengo, moonbabies, arab strab, and selected songs from the soundtracks of the thin red line, a beautiful mind and the princess and the warrior.
countering all these, though it remains to be seen, are a couple of chuck palahniuk books from brother (thank you again):
Fight Club
&
invisible monster
also wanted to let you know that julia has a new journel. the link to the right should be updated check it out and also go to her site. she has a new poem posted (the top link in the 'i write' section, i believe) that's quite brilliant. and she is quite right to quote sabrina ward harrison.
on a similar note i'm putting a link up for my brothers' fictional journel, though i have yet to really enjoy it yet, i soon will.
perhaps not so oddly a large part of reality has died.
and suddenly you're in love with everything
